Do you already own a domain name (www.mydomain.com) that you want to use with Magnt? Using your own domain improves your visibility on the internet and makes it much easier for people to remember your web address. If you've purchased a domain at a place like GoDaddy, eNom, Register.com, etc. then there will be some settings you'll need to adjust in order for your Magnt site to be visible on that domain.
Note: If you decide to order a domain through us, there is no configuration necessary - it'll just work (like magic).
Note: If you decide to upgrade to a pro and you want to take advantage of the free domain that's included it'll just work (like magic).
Think of a domain like a remote control. Domains can be programmed to do a variety of things but initially they aren't setup to do much of anything.

Step 1
Prepare Your Domain
Whether you're using a top-level domain (domain.com), or configuring a subdomain (magnt.domain.com), log in to the registrar that you use to manage your domain and proceed to the domain configuration area.
-
Step 2
Adjust A Record Information
You'll then need to log into your domain registrar's admin panel and adjust your A Record settings (change to 209.188.87.191) to tell your domain to control your Magnt website. The method for changing these settings varies so you may need to refer to your registrar's documentation to be sure.

Step 3
Wait and Test
After making the changes, wait about an hour and then test out the changes by typing your domain (or subdomain) in your browser.
Another method for testing your settings is to visit your Magnt account panel and viewing the "Site Settings" tab. If your domain is configured incorrectly, you will see a warning message.
Note: It can sometimes take up 24 hours for domain changes to spread across the internet.
