The Founder's Story
Professional Branding Made Simple
When Vik Chadha launched Magnt in 2012, he was solving a problem he'd personally faced multiple times: the chicken-and-egg dilemma of startup branding. You need professional branding to be taken seriously, but you can't afford it until you're already successful.
"When we started Backupify, our 'logo' was literally clip art," Vik laughs. "It hurt our credibility until we could afford real design. But why should entrepreneurs choose between rent and branding? Magnt makes that choice obsolete."
A serial entrepreneur with deep experience in startup development, Vik has been at the forefront of multiple successful ventures. His journey includes co-founding Backupify, a cloud backup solution that was later acquired by Datto. This experience gave him firsthand insight into the challenges startups face when building their brand identity on a limited budget.
Having helped 100+ startups at EnterpriseCorp, Vik saw how design quality correlated with success. Companies with professional branding raised funding faster, attracted better talent, and commanded premium prices. Vik's technical expertise from Virginia Tech, combined with insights from scaling multiple companies, informed Magnt's approach.
