This Privacy Policy explains how Magnt (“Magnt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use magnt.com, the Magnt application at app.magnt.com, and our related tools and content (together, the “Services”). Magnt is operated by a limited liability company organized in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA.

We try to collect only what we need to run the Services, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Account and purchase details. When you create an account or buy a brand kit, we collect your name, email address, and the details of your purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; your full card number is sent directly to Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
• Brand inputs. The information you enter to generate a brand kit, such as your business name, industry, description, and style preferences.
• Forms and messages. When you use our contact form, request a free resource, or complete a worksheet such as the brand audit, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write or answer in the form.
• Privacy requests. Information you send us when you exercise your privacy rights, which we use to verify and respond to the request.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data. Pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location derived from your IP address (country or region), browser and device type, referring website, and the dates and times of visits.
• Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for the specific cookies we use and how to control them.

Some of our free tools, such as the brand name availability checker, send the name you type to our servers so we can look up domains and social handles. We do not require an account or an email address to use those tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Services: generate your brand kit, deliver your files, process your payment, and handle refunds.
• To respond to your messages and support requests, and to send resources you ask for.
• To send transactional emails such as receipts, account notices, and delivery of downloads.
• To understand how the Services are used so we can fix problems and improve them.
• To protect the Services against spam, fraud, and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising, and we keep advertising storage disabled in our analytics configuration.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Services you request), your consent (analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Services and responding to inquiries), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Services, under agreements that limit how they may use it:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend and Brevo — sending transactional email, such as receipts, contact-form messages, and resource downloads.
• Google Analytics 4 — website analytics.
• Microsoft Clarity — website usage analytics, such as aggregated interaction and session data, loaded only where analytics consent applies.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Slack — internal notifications to our team when someone submits a form.
• AI and infrastructure providers — the services that process your brand inputs to generate your brand kit.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Magnt, our users, or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above. Account and purchase records are kept for as long as your account is open and afterwards as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Contact-form messages and resource requests are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of each analytics provider. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restricting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, follow the steps on our Data Subject Access Request page or email privacy@magnt.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

• Cookies and analytics. You can accept or decline analytics cookies through our cookie banner and change your browser settings at any time. See the Cookie Policy.
• Email. Transactional emails relate to your purchase or request. If we ever send marketing email, every message will include an unsubscribe link.
• California residents. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
• EEA, UK, and Swiss residents. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers operate in the United States and other countries. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses offered by our service providers, for these transfers.
