Sales Deck Branding: Slide-by-Slide Rules (Simple)
Decks don’t need to be “fancy.” They need to be consistent. These rules make proposals feel professional and reduce trust friction.
Non-negotiables (keep it consistent)
Non-negotiables
- One font system: heading + body (max 2–3 fonts total).
- One primary CTA style (same color and wording across deck + website).
- One icon style (outline vs filled, consistent stroke).
- One spacing system (consistent margins and grid).
Slide-by-slide rules
Title slide
Instantly communicate what you do and who it’s for.
- Use one headline style (H1) and keep it consistent
- Use one brand color accent (not a rainbow)
- Include one clear positioning sentence
- Logo mark only (avoid tiny unreadable full logos)
Problem slide
Show you understand the customer’s pain—using their words.
- Use 3–5 bullet points max
- Use one supporting visual style (icons OR photo, not both)
- Keep tone consistent with your brand voice
Solution slide
Explain how you solve the problem (simple, not “feature soup”).
- Use one grid style for features (e.g., 3 cards)
- Keep icons consistent (stroke weight, size)
- Use the same button/CTA style as your website
Proof slide
Reduce risk: results, testimonials, logos, guarantees.
- Pick one proof format (testimonials OR stats) per slide
- Use consistent testimonial styling (quote, name, role)
- Keep spacing generous—proof needs readability
Offer / pricing slide
Make the decision feel clear and easy.
- Use one pricing layout (cards or table) and reuse it
- Use consistent labels (Starter / Pro / Premium)
- Repeat your primary CTA exactly (same words)
